Hawaiian Red Alaea Sea Salt is the traditional salt of the Hawaiian islands, its unique flavor, and vibrant color is ideal for seasoning a variety of foods. These salts are harvested from Pacific waters using traditional methods of solar evaporation, allowing the salt crystals to form with the much-desired trace minerals intact. The salt is infused with Hawaiian volcanic clay called “Alae”, which gives it an extraordinary red color.
